Three rose cabins and one lemon scented cabin today. So glad I came up for a recipe for turning skunk to rose. There have been very few skunk scentings this summer, but it’s nice to be prepared.
No one has made any indication that the action on the cabins was other than intended. I wonder when they will. They certainly know who is behind the scent reversals.
I spent much of the day making dyes and coloring yarns for Rimmie. She has very specific ideas of what colors she wants to use on her flying carpet project. It was an interesting, but aggravating task.
It’s not that easy to make a color that is a specific hue, with a particular brightness when you’ve nothing but someone’s words to describe it. Most of the time I was too light or dark, too blue or green, or too pale.
Before we got into an argument over it, Rimmie took all the samples I’d made and said that was enough to experiment with. I hope she’s right.
Next time I get into dyeing lots of wool, I want it to be for a project that I am doing. Not that I minded doing this at all. I learned a lot.
