Still rained most of the day, though not as hard as yesterday. Three more cabins were lemon scented today. I had not thought they would continue, but I was wrong.
Sandi and I spent time between showers at the meditation garden. She was impressed with the endpoint in the woods.
As she said, “Even though you can see it, you don’t recognize the pavilion in the woods unless you already know about it. All you see is the forest.”
Our goal was to map a little more of the maze and perhaps find another interesting feature. We didn’t. My conclusion is that there are more things to discover, but the maze is not ready to show them.
Sandi thought that possible. Her uncle designed mazes like that.
I’d like to meet her uncle one day. He sounds like an interesting guy.
When it started raining again, it was time to leave. It wasn’t a matter of getting wet. The rain never touched the paths. It was more of a feeling that we weren’t welcome any more. Neither of us wanted to overstay that.
Back at lunch, Deilia thought we were crazy to worry about things like that. But then she’s ok with pulling keystones out of vaulted ceilings. On the other hand, she shared her cache of silver ore with me, which was nice. I spent the afternoon smelting it. I offered to smelt the rest for her, but she has other plans for it. The grin on her face when she said that made me nervous.
