We helped Miche prepare the lake for the end of the season. You can still swim or sail or lay on the beach, but everything is put away, and you’d better clean and put away anything you use now. We did a quick pass over the lake to look for junk on the bottom. Didn’t find much. Some broken boat parts. A bandana. The lake got little use this summer.
Miche is much improved. She walks with a little limp. The hand that was claw-like is fleshing out. She smiles a lot.
I picked out wood for some new wands. By next summer, I want a wand that does badminton tricks. Miss Montgomery gave me the runes. I have a pile of sticks to practice with.
After that, I helped Miss Montgomery sort left over craft supplies. Some went into storage for next year. Others went into boxes. Everyone who wants one, can take a box home. Those of us helping got first choice. The one I took had a lot of junk, but it also contained a bottle of very fine magical green ink with gold sparkles. I figured Rimmie might take some of the other stuff for her little brother.
