I decided not to paint my secrets box yellow and purple. Not sure why I even wanted to in the first place. Sandy thought it might be a residual spell that Deilia put on me before she left. I don’t think so, but who knows. Yellow and purple are Deilia’s favorite colors.
Instead of painting, I covered the box in a pretty blue and green paper that I found in the camp store. Mrs. Marchant says it is a marble paper, but I don’t see any marbles, so I’m not sure what she means. Anyway, it made my box look very pretty.
I thought about leaving the inside of the box plain wood. Miss Montgomery convinced me to make a lining. So now it has an indigo velvet covering the bare wood. It complements the outside nicely.
We went swimming in the afternoon. Nearly everything around the lake has been put away, so swimming and laying on the beach are pretty much all there is. Ferrin and Sandy decided to work on sun tans. The rest of us dove for rocks in the water.
We put a glow spell on the rocks to make them easier to find. It didn’t last too long, though. The water washed off the ink destroying the spell.
